Some of the attractions located nearby to Las Brisas are:
  • Surfing - ¾ mile (15 minute walk)
  • Zip lining. This unique combination of first class equipment, experienced professionals, rigorous safety procedures, and an outstanding location guarantee a pleasantly memorable experience. Come learn to fly! (5 minutes drive)
  • Sport fishing from the Los Suenos Marina a chance to catch a Pacific Sailfish or Marlin or even a Giant Roosterfish. (20 minutes drive)

There are two ways to return to the Sky Tram's base. You can ride the tram down the same route that you ascended or sign up for a fast-paced zip line tour to the bottom. Those seeking an adrenalin rush would be wise to choose the second option.
The zip lines include 10 cables and 15 platforms with five of the 10 cables more than 600 feet long. This combination tour includes a visit to the heliconia garden, snake exhibit and an expert naturalist guide. (20 minutes drive)
  • The Carara Biological Reserve (Reserva Biologica Carara). With several miles of trails open to visitors (some only with a tour group), it is a great place to view much of Costa Rica's wildlife. Early morning or around sunset is often the best time to see the flight of scarlet macaws that rest among the mangroves. It is also possible to see Caiman, white-faced Capuchin monkeys, Peccaries, Coatimundis and a wide variety of birds. The park opens at 7 am and closes at 5 pm. (25 minutes drive)
  • The Tarcoles River (Rio Tarcoles), which borders the park and flows into the Pacific Ocean, is an amazing place to witness the American crocodile close up. Boat tours are available to see the crocodiles, many of which grow to be several meters in length! (30 minutes drive)
  • Isla Damas Monkey and Mangrove tour. Mangroves play a vital role for the survival of many species of wildlife including a chance to see Capuchin Monkeys up close and personal. (45 minutes drive)

"The Personal Touch"
First time at Las Brisas Resort and would stay there again for sure. It is a family owned resort, quiet, clean and central to all the tours and activities we wanted to participate in. It is a wonderful little villa just a short jog from the beach. We received personalized attention from John, as opposed to the bigger hotels where you are just another guest and can stand in line and get overlooked. He arranged all our activities for us and made sure everything went smooth. His wife Rachelle even made us muffins for our trips! A great breakfast by the pool was something we looked forward to each morning. A nice little pool and a bar right close where we enjoyed a few beers amongst ourselves and with other guests. It was a wonderful place to stay.
