Las Brisas Resort and Villas is located in Playa Hermosa, also known as Pochotal, at the base of the Hermosa Hills in Puntarenas Province on the Central Pacific coast. Not as touristy as the neighbouring town of Jaco to the north, Playa Hermosa is a smaller, more laid back community and tends to attract those who want to spend more time in, or on, the water or just relaxing by the pool or at the beach. The region can also easily claim to have the most spectacular sport fishing, for those who crave the adventure of catching a Pacific Sailfish or Blue Marlin.The beautiful Los Suenos Resort and Marina is located to the north ofJaco and is the location for the sport fishing charter fleet.

I recently stayed at Las Brisas with my girlfriend and cannot recommend it highly enough. The rooms are spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. The pool area is immaculate and even better; the pool is filled with spring water, as is all the water through the taps at Las Brisas!! A continental breakfast is laid on every morning in the rancho, surrounded by the sounds of the parrots, scarlet macaws, toucans etc. in the trees around. The owners were great too, a family that are always willing to help you with any problems or giving advice on the area if needed. Finally (and probably most importantly) the price is more than reasonable, amazingly good value for such a great place to stay.
